Dawn Leane is Principal Consultant at Leane Leaders, a specialist consultancy and training service
which helps organisations increase diversity in their leadership pipeline. This work ranges from
advising organisations on strategy, to coaching and mentoring, training and facilitation.


Dawn has over 25 years experience developing and supporting leaders in the workplace. She has
worked across a range of industries including professional services, manufacturing, publishing,
recruitment, the charity and education sectors.


A graduate of the National College of Industrial Relations, Dawn holds a Masters of Business from
University College Cork, in addition to post-graduate qualifications in Leadership and organisational behaviour.

Diverse In : Ethnic & Cultural Inclusion Ambassador

Adaku Ezeudo is on a mission to engage, educate and empower individuals, companies and
organisations to recognise the value of diversity & Inclusion. She is passionate about creating
platforms which celebrate ethnic and cultural diversity, explore differences and embrace multiple
ways of thinking and working together. Founder of PhoenixRize, she is a Diversity & Inclusion
Consultant, trainer, life coach, mentor and speaker. She specialises in designing high impact
programs and learning experiences that bring results. She believes that dreamers change the
world and it is possible to live your dream, this inspired her to co-author an internationally

chapter titled – ‘How to Live Your Dream Year’ in collaboration with 11 world-class authors.


Adaku has worked across functions in multinationals and public sector organisations before
starting a transformation boutique consultancy. She also founded i-Smile International, a charity
set up to enhance the economic and cultural participation of women from migrant and refugee

David R. Pollard

Diverse In : Disabilities Ambassador

A finalist in JCI’s Top 10 Outstanding Young Persons in Dublin 2018, David Pollard is the Innovation Pioneer at the Rehab Group. His projects include creating smart rooms for people with disabilities to live more independently. In addition, he was an Institute of the Future fellow for his work on positive platforms to support people with disabilities in employment. David is the organiser of Hack Access Dublin, a 3-day event to create innovative solutions to the city’s accessibility challenges. In 2017, this event had over 200 attendees and +23 million reach.

David has a passion for education with a Masters in Learning & Teaching and organises Digital Citizenship Summit Ireland. He is the founder of Learning Tech Labs, a 2,800+ community of educators, developers and entrepreneurs based in Ireland, England and Mexico. On the side, David organises Ireland’s TechStars and Google for Entrepreneurs Startup Weekend Education vertical to support people to build their own edtech startup. David also founded an inclusive coding network, CodED Club, at Trinity College Dublin and is Irish ambassador for the Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe and European Maker Week, two European Commision projects.

Laura Sánchez

Diverse In : LGBT Ambassador

Laura is a Senior Account Manager at Google. She focuses on business development on Digital Marketing strategies since the beginning of her career. 

 

She's globally oriented and technically savvy. She has enjoyed being the bridge between business, technical teams and clients while managing international partners and customer relationships in different markets as she has lived in 5 different countries. She's passionate about the combination of people, community, expression, information, technology and It's impact; Laura is a Diversity Lead for Southern Europe and also she works closely with the Gayglers and Allies at Google.

 

Outside the office, she looks after communications @Lesbians Who Tech + Allies in the Dublin Chapter.

REbecca WOODMASS

Diverse In : LGBT Ambassador

Rebecca Woodmass (they/them & she/her), a trained classical soprano, is a nonbinary lesbian now working in artificial intelligence. For the last two years they have immersed themself in the technology sector, co-leading the Montreal chapter of Lesbians Who Tech (& Allies) to be one of the most active chapters in their global network. She also founded Quill Creative, a social good enterprise that offers web design, development, business strategy, and marketing services, as well as accessibility consulting, to marginalized artists, activists, entrepreneurs, and organizations. Rebecca is now applying their talents in speaking, writing, and programming to their studies in applied machine learning and artificial intelligence for social change. She has been called a "rising star in the queer/feminist movement" and works tirelessly for the visibility of racialized, disabled, queer and trans folks in the tech sector, as well as in society at large. They love cycling, writing poetry, gardening, and their cat, Didi.

DR. RUCHI PALAN

Diverse In : Disabilities Ambassador

An experienced researcher in the field of disability, higher education and
employment, Ruchi is passionate about increasing the visibility and representation of
people with disabilities in diversity and inclusion agendas. She works to sensitise
employers about disability and empower people with disabilities with relevant
employable skills.
She has organised disability awareness workshops and partnered with publishers for
facilitating access to academic books for print-disabled students in India and
regularly consults on disability awareness training there. In Dublin, some of her
engagements include mentoring participants at Hack Access Dublin hackathon, co-
organising the Hack Access meet-up which brings together people interested in
making Dublin more accessible for people with disabilities and, organising and co-
facilitating IT training workshops for people with intellectual disabilities and, autism
awareness training for Rehab Group staff.
Ruchi blends her academic knowledge with real world experience to create
innovative solutions for disability inclusion. Her interests include participatory
approach and creating meaningful collaborations between people with and without
disabilities.

Anna Radulovski

Featured by Web Summit and DW, a frequent speaker at large tech events like WeAreDevelopers World Congress, Webit.Festival Europe, DrupalCon Vienna, OpenFest Bulgaria, Anna Radulovski is an activist, community engineer and advocate for diversity in tech. She is also a member of the WeAreDevelopers Diversity Advisory Board.

 

Her passion for tech and education inspired Anna to start the social enterprise Coding Girls. From the first workshop of 16 girls to 1000+ members in one year, Coding Girls is constantly growing globally with new communities, increasing the number of girls and women in tech.

Christina Lynch

Christina is a Technical Account Manager in Microsoft. She focuses on the technical implementation of Digital Marketing Strategies for SMBs in EMEA. 

With a background in computer science, consulting and software development, she is passionate about diversity and inclusion in technology. With a focus on Women in Tech, she is the organiser of Ireland Girl Geek Dinners and Women Who Code Dublin aimed at giving people an opportunity to grow their network. She is the Microsoft Search Advertising Gender Lead for Ireland. 

Florence Kwok

Diverse In : Women in Tech Ambassador

Florence Kwok is a UC Berkeley grad, Senior Program Marketing Manager at App Annie, and co-founder of rohmapp.com which is a mobile app that helps you discover and share discounted local activities and events. She currently runs integrated global marketing campaigns at App Annie, and has prior experience in market research and brand marketing at Intuit and NetApp.

With her passion for technology, media and strategic marketing, Florence previously co-founded Radivision.com, a media and entertainment company, where she partnered with global accelerators, such as 500 Startups and Founder Institute, to create a founder Q&A web series to help educate and inspire young entrepreneurs. She hopes to continue to help build and participate in meaningful conversations and communities where people of color and women in technology can inspire and empower each other, and work together to change the current status quo.

Evelyn Nomayo

Diverse In : Women in Tech Ambassador

Evelyn Nomayo is the founding CEO of Northeast College and Phase Innovate - a social enterprise dedicated to helping the underrepresented in STEM field in Ireland. Her programs teach the artistry of innovation and empower participants to become innovators and leaders through exposure to technology and entrepreneurship training.

 

Evelyn is a freelance full stack developer and a data analyst by profession. Her career began as a banker and has worked for several companies before she started her entrepreneurship journey. Her passion is imparting knowledge. She has been privileged over the years to have taught business and computer science related subjects to hundreds of teens and undergraduates which has been nothing short of rewarding.

 

Her academic background is in business administration and computer science and she has been accredited by Adobe and Microsoft as a certified instructor. 

 

 

Evelyn was honoured to receive an award for her ongoing selfless service to the society under the education category and also recognised for her contribution to teenage creative writing.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and watching reality TV.

NIcaise Ishimwe

Diverse In : Women in Tech Ambassador

Nicaise Ishimwe is an Application specialist at Emovis technologies Ireland, a global company that designs and operates free-flow tolling systems. She has an educational background in telecommunications engineering as well as a recently graduated MBA. She has held various positions in the transportation industry in the past, focusing mainly on smart-mobility solutions.  

 

She has at heart to empower young girls and women to believe in themselves and be change agents in their communities. Hence her work as the Irish Chapter Lead and Global Operations board member of Women in Tech Africa, an organisation that aims to create a pipeline of female technology leaders and role-models across Africa and beyond, by encouraging more girls to choose STEM fields and empowering women to support Africa growth through technology.

In her free-time, Nicaise enjoys up-skilling, learning about new technologies and works among other projects on an early-stage startup WeCoFix that she co-founded. She is also diversity award nominee (Digital female leader) and has been contributing to tech conferences such as European Women in Technology, Mobile World Congress 4YFN and Afrobytes.

deborah somorin

Diverse In : Diversity in Business Ambassador

Deborah is a Senior Associate at PwC. She will be an Assistant Manager from 1 November 2018. Deborah completed a degree in Accounting and Finance at DCU in 2014. She then went on to complete a Masters in Accounting in DCU in 2015 which helped earn her a place at PwC. She received 2 scholarships while in university to enable her to complete her studies. She is now a qualified chartered accountant and in 2017 she began sharing her story of overcoming adversity to help change the stigma attached with youth homelessness. She has won the JCI Dublin Ten Outstanding Young Persons award for 2018 and the JCI Ireland Ten Outstanding Young Persons award for 2018 as a result of her work in this area. 

 

 

She has also recently founded Empower the Family, a not for profit company. It aims to open student accommodation with affordable quality childcare for single parents between 18-23 in third level education. Empower the family is one of the acts for the UN SDG’s with a focus on 3 goals, poverty alleviation, reducing inequality and providing access to quality education. Empower the Family was a finalist for the Social Entrepreneur Awards in 2018. Deborah is also a finalist for the Newstalk Female Social Entrepreneur award for 2018. 

 

In addition, Deborah currently sits on the board of directors for Chartered Accountants Support which supports members and students of Chartered Accountants Ireland. 

NAHEED afzal

Naheed Afzal is helping to bring women and minorities to the forefront of technology. Her award winning business of nineteen years powers innovation through tech diversity, linking excellent technologists with some of the most innovative companies in the world. An advocate of conscious leadership and the power of collaboration, she qualified as a solicitor in the early 90's practicing in human and civil rights. She is Co-Founder and CEO of Contracts IT Recruitment Consulting limited.

Her Company is a fast growing London based consultancy operating across the private, the public and the third sector. Making a difference in technology recruitment, encouraging diversity of thought and considering measures that will help sustain the diversity pipeline in business are all important goals for her and her business.

Silvija Delekovcan

Silvija is a HR Business Partner for EMEA at HubSpot and an Associate Lecturer at National College of Ireland.

Drawing on from her personal experience and her professional background in HR, Learning, Teaching and Talent Management across semi-state organisations and large multinationals, Silvija has developed a keen interest in Diversity & Inclusion in the workplace beyond just legislative requirements.  For Silvija, Diversity starts with Inclusion and her passion is helping organisations to crate inclusive working environments which welcome, celebrate and nourish cultural and experiential differences.

Apart from D&I impacts Sivija is making through her work with the business leaders, her students, and through her extra curriculars, Silvija has been working on ‘Returners’ initiatives through her employers and in collaboration with non-for-profits since 2016 helping unemployed from all walks of life to return to the workforce and start their career in tech.

Cynthia Hass

Cynthia is a speaker, entrepreneur and champion for all things good. She's the founder of an impact agency called H Impact where she's helped build and develop brands for good alongside partners such as Google, Dell, Microsoft and More. Prior to this she's acted as a press officer for the State Department and a journalist where she's interviewed people such as artist Big Sean, Actor Orlando Bloom, comedian Jay Pharoah  and more. She's served as an Innovation Advisor to Dell, a Youth Champion to the UN Foundation's Girl Up Campaign and an MTV Changemaker.  She's spoken in Turkey, Germany, South Africa, Amsterdam and all over the US.

 

She holds a B.A in International Relations from Boston University and has held a congressional fellowship with the White's Houses Asian Pacific Diaspora where she's advocated and promoted for more diversity on and off the screen.
